How LINK Seat 2.0 Is Making a Difference: Doug Betters and Jennifer’s Experience

At Adapt Solutions, some of our most valuable innovations come directly from the people who use our products every day. That’s why we were excited to provide Doug Betters and Jennifer with an early upgrade to the new LINK 2.0 before its official launch and gather their honest feedback from real-world use. Shortly after receiving the upgrade, Doug and Jennifer embarked on a seven-day road trip: an ideal opportunity to put the latest generation of LINK to the test.

A Feature That Stood Out Immediately

Shortly after receiving the upgrade, Doug and Jenn embarked on a seven-day road trip, giving them the perfect opportunity to experience LINK 2.0 in real-world conditions.

Almost immediately, one new feature stood out to Jennifer: the integrated light system.

During the second day of their journey, she thought she heard an unusual noise while exiting the vehicle. At the time, she didn’t have her phone nearby and couldn’t immediately verify the seat’s status. Fortunately, she remembered the new visual indicator included with LINK 2.0.

”The Link 2.0 is working wonderfully. The light system is a game changer. That simple feature takes out the guesswork and, more importantly, offers the reassurance we needed.”

As a result, what could have been a stressful situation became a quick and reassuring confirmation that everything was functioning properly.

A Journey Built on Research and Trust

Doug and Jennifer’s relationship with Adapt Solutions didn’t begin with LINK 2.0. In fact, years before this upgrade, they invested significant time researching the best transportation solution for Doug’s needs.

As Jennifer explained:

”Choosing the best product to meet Doug’s transportation needs was a heavily researched process that took several months. Accessible car seats are not like most products. It is nearly impossible to see what you are considering beforehand, much less try it out.”

Unlike traditional consumer products, adaptive mobility equipment cannot easily be tested in a store. Furthermore, once installed, these solutions represent a long-term investment. Because of this, trust becomes just as important as the product itself.

Like many families navigating accessible transportation options, Doug and Jennifer faced countless questions about transfers, usability, comfort, aesthetics, and vehicle compatibility.

Why They Chose the LINK Seat

Throughout their evaluation process, several features stood out.

For example, the LINK Seat’s tilt design, its ability to retain the OEM vehicle seat, and the flexibility of the seat travel system all aligned with Doug’s needs and lifestyle.

However, one factor ultimately mattered more than any specific feature.

”Ultimately, we chose Adapt Solutions’ LINK Seat. The tilt design, ability to use the OEM seat, and flexible operation of the seat travel were certainly factors. But it was the trust we had in your company that mattered most.”

From the beginning, Doug and Jennifer felt supported by the Adapt Solutions team. Moreover, they appreciated the company’s commitment to both innovation and customer service. As a result, their confidence in the product grew into a long-lasting partnership.

Helping Shape the Future of Accessible Mobility

Today, Doug and Jennifer are among the first members of our community to experience LINK 2.0 before its official launch.

Their feedback is invaluable because it comes from real-world experience. While engineering and testing help validate new features, everyday use reveals how those features perform when they matter most.

For instance, Jennifer’s experience with the new light system demonstrated how a seemingly simple improvement can have a meaningful impact on daily confidence and peace of mind.

Therefore, feedback from Doug and Jennifer helps us continue refining LINK 2.0 and ensuring that every enhancement delivers tangible benefits for users.
